Many University of Tennessee Executive MBA for Strategic Leadership students receive partial or full financial assistance from their employers for their studies. In fact, we suggest that your own organization is the first and best place to look for financial aid. Remember, the bottom-line return from your Organizational Action Project (OAP) can more than offset the cost of your education.
Regardless of whether your employer provides financial assistance for your Executive MBA, you must have your employer's explicit sponsorship, meaning the company agrees to and endorses your participation. That includes granting time off work during residence periods, honoring the concept of total immersion during those periods, and approving your OAP and the use of organizational data for some assignments carried out during the program year.
In order to deliver the intense High Compression LearningSM method that enables you to complete your Executive MBA in a single year, we do require your presence at every session from beginning to end. It's your responsibility to ensure that your employer and colleagues are aware of the dates you must be in residence and that work is delegated accordingly.
If you have any questions at all about employer sponsorship or how it would work for your individual situation, please contact the EMBA program office at 1-800-486-EMBA or firstname.lastname@example.org.
